How to Reassign Serialized Codes to another Batch?

NotesTags are QR codes that allow users to verify product authenticity, earn loyalty points, and activate product warranties. Once scanned, the product is registered under the customer's name. Reassigning tags to a different batch ensures proper management of serialized codes for inventory or distribution purposes.

Steps to Assign/Reassign a Tag:

1. Navigate to ‘Reassign Tags’

  • Navigate to ‘Tags’ > ‘Reassign Tags’ on left side of the page.

2. Select Batch ID and Serial Number Type

  • Batch Selection:
    • Click the dropdown next to ‘Existing Batch ID’
    • Browse through the list of batches and select the desired batch.
  • Serial Number Type:
    • Click the dropdown under ‘Serial Number Type’ and choose between:
      • Range: Specify a range of serial numbers.
      • Comma Separated: Input specific serial numbers separated by commas.

3. Provide Serial Number Details

  • If ‘Range’ is selected, enter:
    • Start Serial Number.
    • End Serial Number.
    • Number of Items.

  • If ‘Comma Separated’ is selected, enter:
    • Serial Numbers separated by commas.
    • Number of Items.

4. Reassign Tags Options

You will see two options:
  • Reassign Tags to a New Batch.
  • Reassign Tags to an Existing Batch.

5. Reassign Tags to a New Batch

  • Select ‘Reassign tags to a new batch’ and provide the following:
    • Product: Choose the product for the new batch.
    • Batch ID: Enter a unique ID for the new batch.
    • Manufacturing Date (optional).

6. Reassign Tags to an Existing Batch

  • Select ‘Reassign tags to an existing batch’ and enter:
    • Product Batch ID: Choose the batch to reassign the tags.
    • Click ‘Move Tags’.

InfoNote: The serial number pattern must match the existing batch. Mismatched patterns will prevent reassignment.
